Since video games have become available, people love them for their entertainment value. When video games were introduced, stores constantly ran out of stock due to their popularity.

Video games have come a long way. The initial versions had simple pixilated graphics and sound that still entertained people during that era. Families enjoyed playing these video games for entertainment, with both children and adults playing for hours just to finish a certain video game.

Once finished with a particular game, people couldn't get enough and so they purchased another gaming cartridge with a new game and played it for hours on end. People also enjoyed going to the mall to play games in the arcade. However, many people wanted games they could play in their own home, and have access to anytime they wanted.

One of the best ways to do this is buying a handheld video gaming systems.

You certainly can't bring your gaming console with you wherever you go since you need two things for it to work -- a TV and an electrical outlet. Carrying around your gaming console is likely to be very inconvenient when travelling.

These are handheld gaming systems and these devices can be played wherever you are, such as riding a bus or car or while you're standing in line. They're battery operated and some are small enough to fit into your pocket.

Early handheld video game systems also had crude graphics with an LED screen that displayed the game. However, newer technologies have made it possible to get games in color with stunning 3D graphics.
